The Shape of Rebirth explores transformation as an unfolding process that begins within. Inspired by the metamorphosis of the butterfly, the work reflects the many stages of becoming that shape a human life.

At its core, a curled figure rests in a cocoon-like form, symbolizing the inner journey of growth, vulnerability, and renewal. From this protected space, a second figure emerges—expanded, awakened, and moving toward the light. Above her, a butterfly becomes the visible expression of a transformation that first took place within.

The work suggests that rebirth is not a single event but a continuous evolution. Through challenges, experiences, and moments of awakening, we gradually shed former versions of ourselves and discover new possibilities for being. What ultimately emerges is not a different self, but a more authentic expression of who we have always been.
